Serene Kerala Escapade itinerary

Day 1

Kochi

Upon arrival at Kochi airport get transferred to your hotel. Check-in to your hotel and relax. The evening is at leisure. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 2

Fort Kochi

Post breakfast around 10 AM head for a half day city tour, explore the city’s rich history and cultural landmarks, including the Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue, and Dutch Palace. In the evening, at 5 PM proceed to witness a traditional Kathakali dance performance, a vibrant showcase of Kerala’s artistic heritage. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 3

Kochi to Munnar

Today post breakfast, check-out from Kochi hotel and get transferred to Munnar, a picturesque hill station approximately 130 km away, a 4-hour drive. Check into your hotel and spend the day at leisure, soaking in the lush greenery and pleasant climate. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4

Munnar & Kolukkumalai

Today early morning, depart for your Kolukkumalai Tea Trail. Drive through the beautiful valleys of tea plantations, where panoramic views of the Western Ghats unfold before you. Later, board a jeep to travel through jeep, rugged road to the World’s highest organic tea growing estate. It is situated in the eastern slope of the Western Ghat. Follow it up with a guided tea trail walk, immersing yourself in Munnar’s tea heritage. Visit a Tea Factory to witness the meticulous process of tea-making. The evening is free for relaxation. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 5

Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Thekkady, approximately 90 km away, a 3- hour drive. Thekkady is known for its dense forests and wildlife sanctuary. Check into your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on Periyar Lake, where you can spot various wildlife such as elephants, deer, and birds. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 6

Thekkady

After breakfast, go for a spice plantation tour to see how spices like cardamom, pepper, and vanilla are grown. Engage in spice shopping . Return to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 7

Thekkady to Alleppey

Early morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Alleppey, approximately 140 km away, a 4-hour drive. Upon arrival, check into a traditional houseboat. Spend the day cruising through the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey, witnessing the local life along the canals. Enjoy meals prepared on board and relax in the serene surroundings. Overnight stay in the houseboat in Alleppey.

Day 8

Alleppey to Marari

After breakfast, check out from the houseboat and proceed to Marari, approximately 15 km away, a 30-minute drive. Marari is a beautiful beach destination known for its pristine sands and tranquil atmosphere. Check into your hotel and spend the day enjoying the beach and relaxing. Overnight stay in Marari.

Marari to Kochi

Proceed back to Cochin for your departure flight.
